Our daytime centers are aimed at people with intellectual disabilities and are part of the occupational service of the Generalitat de Catalunya. However, at the Alba Association, we have wanted to give it a broader and more open approach: our goal is to promote the inclusion of individuals in the community by facilitating their active participation in the social fabric of the towns and cities where they are located. Therefore, we enhance outdoor activities in collaboration with local entities, schools, and other groups. Additionally, we offer adapted workshops and activities that promote the development of skills, the improvement of autonomy, and the well-being of the participants.

We also promote the mobility of individuals among the different centers so they can choose their personal itineraries based on their interests.

The professional team consists of social educators, psychologists, physiotherapists, and community facilitators.

What characterizes this center?

A cultural and community space.

In Verdú, this center has become a cultural and social meeting point. In addition to activities aimed at the users, L'Antic Museu promotes initiatives to energize the village and create connections with the community, such as the Traditional Games Gathering and the XOC Festival of performing arts. Collaborations with other entities have also been established through the Mutare program of the Carulla Foundation, which has allowed for the collection of ideas and needs from the territory to generate new community projects.

How to access the service?

Our centers are part of the Occupational Service of the Generalitat de Catalunya; therefore, to access them, it is necessary to have a recognized degree of intellectual disability and to be referred by the Department of Social Rights. If you want more information about the access criteria or need advice, you can contact us, and we will assist you in the process.

Map of Resource Centres in the Territory

With the aim of bringing our services closer to people living in the Urgell and Segarra regions, we have opened various centres throughout the territory. We currently have locations in Tàrrega, Verdú, Agramunt, Sant Martí de Maldà, Guissona, and Cervera.

Figures help us measure the impact of our actions.
They help us prioritize our efforts and set future challenges.
