At the Alba Association, we are committed to ethical, supportive, and participatory management, based on trust and team autonomy. Since 2008, with the support of Hobest, we have implemented a pioneering organizational model in Catalonia—more flexible and adaptive—that streamlines decision-making and encourages the involvement of everyone in the organization.

Our services are led by a manager figure, but with self-managed teams that define their own goals, budgets, and strategic decisions with support from the management team. This system fosters co-responsibility, initiative, and professional growth, while ensuring efficiency and quality in services.

At Alba, we also promote the active participation of individuals and professionals in decisions that shape the future of the organization. We apply Person-Centered Planning, which transforms the way we understand and support users by working to offer an individualized care plan and accompanying them in achieving their goals.

Self-managed teams
- Each service operates autonomously, with shared leadership and decentralized decision-making.
- Teams define their own objectives and financial management, with support from the management team.

Work by areas and cross-cutting projects
- Teams work in a coordinated way on cross-cutting projects, fostering collaboration and shared knowledge.
- Spaces have been created to ensure the participation of families and service users in service planning.
- The facilitator role supports and provides tools to enhance the autonomy of people with disabilities.

Spaces for reflection and continuous improvement
- ERESS (Ethical and Social Reflection Space) is a reference point for addressing ethical dilemmas in day-to-day management.
