The central kitchen service of Associació Alba was created in 2009 with the aim of offering high-quality service for collective dining, especially in residential and educational settings. It initially began by serving Alba’s residential homes, the Occupational Center, and the Santa Maria de l’Alba Special Education School, but over time it has grown and become a reference in the sector.

Today, we offer customized menus for:

  • Residences and senior centers → Such as the Mas Vell Residence in Agramunt.
  • Nursery schools → Including the two municipal nursery schools in Tàrrega and the Maria Mercè Marçal School, which have opted for a local service.
  • Organizations and social services → Such as the Alzheimer Association of Tàrrega or the Bellpuig Hostel during the pandemic.
  • Support to other Alba services → Such as El Gat restaurant and the internal dining service.

Our commitment is to provide homemade, healthy meals adapted to the needs of each group, with a flexible and locally based service.

Professional and Well-Equipped Facilities

We have a fully equipped central kitchen to ensure food safety and the well-being of our staff. The space is organized into three main areas:

Cooking area → Where all the cooking and meal preparation takes place.
Cold room → A space dedicated to the initial preparation of ingredients such as vegetables, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
Storage area → Includes a dry goods section and a cold storage area, with large refrigerators where food is kept properly labeled and in optimal condition until it is prepared.

Nutritional Guidance and Special Diets

To ensure nutritional quality and food safety, since 2016 we have been working with the team of dietitians and culinary advisors at AGAR Assessorament, who help us plan and review the menus on a monthly basis. 

Management of special diets → We closely monitor adapted diets for allergies, intolerances, or specific needs, adjusting menus according to medical recommendations. When necessary, personalized interviews are conducted with families to ensure a fully adapted diet.

Nutritional control → With the support of AGAR, we have implemented a digital management program to monitor nutritional quality and food safety.
