Club Alba was founded in 1994 with the aim of promoting sports activities among people with disabilities in the Urgell and Segarra regions, adapting them to their needs and preferences to improve their physical, emotional, and social well-being. The focus is on enhancing their autonomy and self-esteem while fostering their inclusion.

In addition to the sports aspect, the project also has a strong therapeutic component, working on healthy habits, promoting personal autonomy, and encouraging social relationships.

In recent years, the Club has broadened its scope by offering activities open to families, professionals, and also to people outside of Alba, with or without disabilities, thus promoting a fully inclusive sports club.

Which sports can you practice as a member of Club Alba?

The athletes of the Club are federated with ACELL, the Catalan Federation of Sports for People with Intellectual Disabilities. They participate in local, regional, national, and European championships, and every four years they take part in the Special Olympics.

There are various sports disciplines such as cycling, basketball, futsal, table tennis, swimming, padel, pétanque, table tennis, etc.

They also organize guided activities open to everyone, such as yoga or Zumba.

How can I become a member?

To join the Club, you need to pay a membership fee, which is the same for everyone. Then, depending on the activity you want to take part in, there is a monthly registration fee.

You can visit their website to check the prices and see all the activities they offer.
