The Santa Maria de l'Alba School is a private special education center contracted by the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya. Founded in 1975, it is part of the Alba Association, a social initiative organization. The school serves students aged between 3 and 21 with special educational needs, offering comprehensive and personalized attention to promote their personal and academic development.

How do you access the service?

The School provides an educational offer adapted to the needs of each student, including:

  • Compulsory Early Childhood, Primary and Secondary Education (ESO): Individualized educational plans that adapt to each student's learning abilities and pace.
  • Transition Programs to Adult Life: Aimed at facilitating the social and labor insertion of young people, enhancing their autonomy and skills for everyday life.
  • Complementary services: Extracurricular activities, canteen service, school transport, morning reception and organization of camps and camps.
  • Special educational projects: Participation in initiatives such as the Environmental Education Plan 0-20, Green School and the Centre's Digital Strategy, which enrich the educational experience of the students.

Who is it aimed at?

This service is aimed at children and young people aged 3 to 21 who have special educational needs arising from intellectual, physical or sensory disabilities, autism spectrum disorders or other developmental difficulties. Access to the school can be requested by families or by referral from educational, health or social services.
