Over 25 Years Connecting People and Communities

At Associació Alba, we’ve been committed to opening ourselves to the world through European volunteering and participation in international projects for more than two decades. What began in 1998 with the hosting of three volunteers has become one of the organisation’s most active areas, with hundreds of mobilities managed and a strong network of partners across Europe.
Our aim is clear: to promote innovative initiatives, encourage the exchange of good practices, and generate real impact on people's quality of life, both locally and globally.
International mobility projects have a personal, professional, and community impact. Many people, after participating in a European volunteering experience, have found their path, discovered vocations, and built lasting connections with the territory.

What Do We Do?

- Participation and Leadership in European Projects
We design and develop projects that promote inclusion, innovation, youth employment, and community development. Through these projects, we collaborate with organisations from other countries and strengthen our way of doing things.

- Inclusive European Volunteering
We host young people from across Europe who come to volunteer at Alba, and we support local youth who want to do a placement abroad, promoting transformative experiences. We believe in volunteering that breaks down borders, challenges stereotypes, and opens minds.

- Exchange of Good Practices
We are in constant contact with European organisations in our sector and are members of EASPD (European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities), which allows us to share knowledge and progress collectively.

- Specific Programs for Youth Employment
Through programs like ALMA, we facilitate professional placements abroad for young people aged 18 to 29, including those with disabilities, offering them work experience in other European countries.

Solidigital, digital tools for social action.

Solidigital is a cross-border collaboration project between associative actors operating in Catalonia, Andorra, and the French regions of Ariège, Pyrénées-Orientales, and Haute-Garonne.
Its goal is to support people in vulnerable situations through three digital tools: Soliguia, Nidus (in Catalonia and Andorra), and the Reconnect Virtual Safe (in France).
The Alba Association is responsible for implementing the project in the province of Lleida.

What is Soliguia?

Soliguia is a free digital guide that gathers and geolocates social resources in Catalonia and Andorra.

What is Nidus?

Nidus is a virtual safe that allows people in vulnerable situations to store their documentation and stay in contact with their reference professionals.
Among its various features, it includes an emergency alert button, a chat space independent from the mobile phone number, and a tool to share stored files with reference professionals.

Interconnection with Soliguia and the Reconnect Virtual Safe

Thanks to the interconnection between tools, Nidus will be able to offer users an up-to-date and detailed map of available resources and services in their area, as collected in Soliguia.
In addition, Nidus will be connected to the Reconnect Virtual Safe, which operates in France, allowing users who move to that country to keep their documents securely through this application.

ERASMUS+ KA2: Cooperació per a la innovació i l'intercanvi de bones pràctiques

En el marc de ERASMUS+ KA2, participem en diverses iniciatives que promouen la col·laboració estratègica:

Associacions estratègiques: Projectes que fomenten la cooperació entre organitzacions en els àmbits de l'educació, la formació i la joventut, desenvolupant metodologies innovadores.
Reforç de capacitats en el sector juvenil: Iniciatives que enforteixen les competències de les organitzacions juvenils, millorant la qualitat del seu treball i ampliant la seva xarxa internacional.
Desenvolupament de metodologies per a activitats esportives inclusives: Projectes que creen i implementen pràctiques esportives adaptades per a persones amb diferents capacitats, promovent la inclusió a través de l'esport.

ERASMUS+ KA1: Mobilitat per a l'aprenentatge

Participem en el programa ERASMUS+ KA1, que promou la mobilitat per a l'aprenentatge en diferents àmbits:

Intercanvis juvenils (YE): Projectes que permeten a joves de diferents països reunir-se, conviure i treballar conjuntament en activitats d'interès comú.
Mobilitat de professionals en el sector juvenil (JS): Oportunitats per a treballadors juvenils de realitzar estades formatives a l'estranger, millorant les seves competències i compartint bones pràctiques.
Mobilitat per a estudiants i professionals de la formació professional (VET): Facilitem estades formatives i pràctiques laborals per a estudiants i professionals de la FP en empreses europees.
Programes de formació per a joves i professionals (TC): Organitzem i participem en cursos de formació internacional per a joves i professionals del sector.

Cos Europeu de Solidaritat (CES)

El Cos Europeu de Solidaritat és una iniciativa de la Comissió Europea que ofereix oportunitats als joves per participar en projectes solidaris a tota Europa. A l'Associació Alba, actuem com a entitat d'enviament i d'acollida, gestionant aquest programa des de fa més de 26 anys.

Què oferim?

Enviament de voluntaris: Acompanyem joves del nostre territori que volen realitzar una experiència de voluntariat en altres països europeus, proporcionant-los suport abans, durant i després de l'estada.
Acollida de voluntaris: Rebem joves europeus que col·laboren en diferents serveis i projectes de la nostra entitat, aportant diversitat cultural i enriquiment mutu.

Impacte del programa

Aquest programa ha permès que nombrosos joves adquireixin competències personals i professionals, alhora que contribueixen positivament a la comunitat.
